Qld: Farmers storm coalition launch
BRISBANE, Feb 8 AAP - More than 300 angry farmers today tried to gatecrash the coalition's
state election campaign launch in Brisbane.
After marching through the city centre, dairy farmers arrived at the Sheraton hotel
and tried to storm the building - but were forced back by police.
The farmers, who are protesting about deregulation of the dairy industry, arrived outside
the hotel about five minutes after Prime Minister John Howard and Deputy Prime Minister
John Anderson left.
